Welcome to Hurry Up Slowly, a place where learning grows gently and purposefully, just like the path I’ve walked to get here.
I’m a retired teacher, a former textbook author, and a lifelong collector of paper, blank notebooks, and tiny sparks of inspiration.
But more than anything, I’m someone who still believes in the magic of creating something from the heart, slowly, but with intention.
This journey didn’t start overnight.
It began decades ago, with a library card from my father, sleepless nights with a flashlight under the covers, and empty pages I dreamed of filling.
For years I stood in front of classrooms, wrote books for schools, raised a family, always giving.
And then, when the school bell stopped ringing for me, I returned to a quiet question:
Could I still create something meaningful, just for the joy of it?
I found TpT by accident… or maybe it found me.
At first, it felt overwhelming: the language, the standards, the marketplace. But something deep in me had already said yes, and once that seed was planted, it grew.
I may be the tortoise in the fable, slow and steady, but I don’t stop.
I believe in simplicity with soul, in beautiful resources made thoughtfully, in visuals that calm and guide, not distract.
Every worksheet, story element, writing prompt or reflection in my store is the result of time, care, and love for learning.
